I just registered Eserv2.8 version and had been using it on trial prior. I had alread set up the Web Proxy and and FTP Gate Proxy Server. So, our small LAN has been able to get onto the net and FTP behind the firewall.
Our ISP is non local. We share a knowledge base with another LAN of another organization in another city. I would like to know if there is a means by which the other LAN can remotley log onto our HTTP/FTP server via the internet.

I have a DSL connection with an internal Speedstream modem and 4 port hub that the other PCs connect through to the internet.

Thanks,

ADSL 169.254.140.0 and 169.254.57.0
PPoE 63.202.178.0

From that I hope that I will be able route one LAN via the Internet to the other using this service.

I finally was able to test the Eserv Webserver via http://azedia.sytes.net/ which has a Static IP Address Redirection and I can view it from within the LAN. The Redirection is on the Internet so that when I click on the URL, the IP Address is resolved on a server on the net then it is Redirected to Eserv Webserver in our LAN.
I can view those webpages via the proxy http on Eserv. Yet, when someone is trying to view the webpages on the Eserv, there is a the message about not giving access.
I was thinking it had to do with Access Rights. I was looking at Bind and Access Rights to solve this issue. How do I allow Redirections from the net view the Webpages on the Eserv Webserver?
Thanks again,
JB
I think you are right or near to be right. Please also check AllowAccessFromAddresses setting. Next, it will be need to see log files.

The AllowConnectionsFrom has
0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 and the others are local
127.0.0.0 255.255.255.0
169.254.140.0 255.255.255.0
169.254.57.0 255.255.255.0
10.0.0.0 255.0.0.0

If your have AllowConnectionsFrom 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 only you have fully opened proxy/servers. Check Eserv log files to discover if there were any attempts to connetcion from outside.
Thanks again,

I am back on this detail again:
I tried a few firewalls, thinking that there was an issue with Port Forwarding. It seems that is not the issue that is causing errors for remote uses on the net to not be able to access our Local
Eserv HTTP Server.
The only issue I can locate that has been an issue in the past is Internet Connection Sharing. Our server is on ME and we have an internal ethernet card with dsl. With that set up, ICS is supposed to be able to work but it has been broken.

But I never could install it.
In the Settings->Control Panel->Network, the ICS is supposed to have ICS (home) and ICS (sharing). The (home) has always worked but (sharing) never showed up and I could never get it to install. I am wondering if that is the reason our member clients cannot access and browse our HTTP?

I am new to Pocomail. After trying several out since Outlook Express was not recoverable after a virus, I chose the Pocomail for its ability to log onto the isp mail server and delete two months of spam sitting on the server. Thanks for that.
Now, however, after setting the filters and scripts for some common issues, I am getting a few Blank Messages in the Inbox. It seems that these same messages can be read when they have also been forwarded to another mail account — sometimes.
I read that there is an order to the filters and that emails moved to another mailbox cannot use the script. Do I have that correct?
I have tried to use a script before moving or forwarding. But is there an order when I need to test the email for junk, forward it to another account, and move a copy of it? Is there something that deletes the message out of the body that I am not seeing.
I am using only the scripts that came plus a few that I downloaded from the Pocomail Scripts for registered members.
Thanks,
J. B.
Hello,
We have a LAN which we can FTP on the inside or our network, yet we need to be able to accept FTP'd files from the Internet. One issue, is that our machines are 10.0.0.x however, can we set up one address that can used so that we can accept logins from outside our LAN?
Thanks again,
JB
