Are there timeouts (perhaps configurable) for POP3. I have seen an instance when large messages seemed to cause the POP3 receive to fail and whilst many messages were downloaded none were deleted. Every time there was a dwonload many messages were retreived again resulting in many duplicate messages for the end user.

Solution was to delete the large messages from ISP mailbox and all seemed fine again.

Perhaps the next scheduled receive was hitting the previous incomplete receive causing it to break the first connection
Any solutions.

Yes, you can tune timeout using option -to. Also, you can use option -uidl to prevent of downloading messages thah already been downloaded during previous session.
